Tomorrow is the 4th of July.
It is difficult to find the words to encompass all that’s going on these days. In searching for quotes for this 4th of July, these spoke to me.
The human heart is the first home of democracy. It is where we embrace our questions. Can we be equitable? Can we be generous? Can we listen with our whole beings, not just our minds, and offer our attention rather than our opinions? And do we have enough resolve in our hearts to act courageously, relentlessly, without giving up—ever—trusting our fellow citizens to join with us in our determined pursuit of a living democracy? — Terry Tempest Williams
Where you see wrong or inequality or injustice, speak out, because this is your country. This is your democracy. Make it. Protect it. Pass it on. — Thurgood Marshall
You don’t have to know the answers. You just have to be ready for the moment when the world says: Now. — Valerie Kaur

Fellow citizens, this may be the one thing left that we can all support and get behind?! Our institutions and leaders, those who are supposed to protect us, have all failed us. Now it is up to WE THE PEOPLE! It is no longer just a resistance movement…IT IS A REVOLUTION TO TAKE BACK OUR NATION OF FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY! This 4th of July we re-declare our independence!
